We have an In-Season Widget that will keep you updated on what fruits and veggies are in season plus provides recipes using that produce. The widget is on saladcenter.com under Salad Center Widget. Tis the season for apples!! What are some of your favorite apple dishes?

Apple crisp and pie, German apple pancakes. I'll be making applesauce with some of mine.

Did you make your apple sauce yet? I have never made that from scratch before. What about apples in dinner dishes?

No, life around this household has been turned upside down for several weeks now and I haven't gotten hardly anything done. Now it seems we're going through the swine fllu, just my 2 kids so far and I hope that's it.
I haven't used apples in dinner, but I've made chicken, apple, cinnamon sausage for breakfast. It's pretty tasty.

I've made chicken apple cinnamon sausage before for breakfast. I added some maple syrup to the mix as well.
Sorry to hear about what is going on. Hope the kiddies feel better and nobody else gets sick. Here is a dinner recipe that calls for apples. Maybe one night you can try it when things are hectic. Hope you enjoy!
Sorry, no commercial links
You can always substitute the pork for chicken if you like.
